Position Summary/Purpose of Position: The Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA) invites
applications for 9-month Oral Communication Lecturer position, to teach an oral communication course to undergraduate students at the University of Maryland, College Park. This is a Professional-Track, 9- month faculty appointment that may be renewed.
Qualifications:
Required–
	- Master's degree in Communication, Speech Communication, Agricultural Communication & Leadership or closely related field.
 
	- 2 years teaching experience, preferably at the post-secondary level.
 
	- The key person will demonstrate excellence in teaching.
 
Preferred– 
	- Agriculture related experience and demonstrated ability to contribute to department decision-making, strategic planning, promotion and recruitment.
 
Responsibilities:
	- Teach 5 sections of INAG 110: Oral Communication, each spring and fall semester.
 
	- Participate in department decision-making, strategic planning, promotion and recruitment.
 
	- Continuous curriculum development and updating to instructional materials and integration of assessment activities into teaching practices.
 
	- Work as part of the Oral Communication teaching team and contribute to the scholarship and enhancement of the course and the department.
