Institute of Applied Agriculture Hosts Internship Photo Contest

August 13, 2014

Each year, IAA students complete internships related to their majors. Their internships range from working on a horse breeding farm to managing turf on a golf course to creating a community garden in the heart of the city. Whatever the internship, our students get real-world experience prior to graduation. Year after year, we are impressed by the work that our students do. So impressed, that we want the rest of the world to see it, too! That’s how we came up the Internship Photo Contest idea.

Our students have the opportunity to win a scholarship for $100 and lunch for them and a friend with the IAA Director, Glori Hyman. All they have to do is submit their favorite photo from their summer 2014 internship to Christina Lorenz at clorenz@umd.edu on or before August 29th. The photos will then be posted in a special album on the Institute of Applied Agriculture Facebook page where they will be voted on by the public. The photo with the most likes by September 15, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. will be the winner!
